Commands of Christ and related Character Quality
(as discussed during Sunday
Evening Service) |
Here are a couple of the
Commands of
Christ that we are discussing in depth every Sunday Evening.
If you would like to hear more, we would love to see you at our
Sunday Evening Service or follow the link to the
Command of Christ on the
IBLP website |
|
1. Repent |
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say,
Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. --Matthew
4:17
|
Humility
vs. Pride |
| Humility
is recognizing that in myself I
am nothing and have nothing, and
therefore, everything in life is
a gift from God's hand |
|
|
2. Follow Me |
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you
fishers of men. --Matthew 4:19
|
Meekness
vs. Anger |
| Meekness
is yielding our rights to God so
He can demonstrate His peace and
power through us |
|
|
3. Rejoice |
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness'
sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye,
when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all
manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice,
and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for
so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
--Matthew 5:10-12

Joyfulness
vs. Self-Pity |
|
Joyfulness is the bright spirit
and radiant countenance that
come by being in full fellowship
with the Lord. |
